This something to do with the intake camshaft timing exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 bank 2 (g449), range / performance retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start post catalyst fuel trim system, high limit also exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 2 sensor 2, circuit range / performance is the final reason of the code. |
05017 Possible Causes:
05017 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Reverse Input Circuit
What To Check After Fixing 05017 Code
- Inspect all the connections a/c refrigerant pressure sensor 'b', circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
