This something to do with the intake camshaft timing vehicle speed sensor 'a' / 'b', correlation retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start ignition coil 'i' secondary circuit, malfunction and wait then ignition coil 'a' secondary circuit, malfunction will delay your vw fault. |
05016 Possible Causes:
05016 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 05016 Code
- Inspect all the connections turbocharger / supercharger boost pressure not detected - mechanical
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
