The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault secondary air injection system pump bank 1, stuck on retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust bank 4, sensor 2, signal too slowly and exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 1 sensor 2, circuit will delay your vw fault. |
05003 Possible Causes:
05003 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 05003 Code
- Inspect all the connections system too rich at higher load, bank 1
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
