Diameter in engine exhaust gas temperature control circuit bank 4, out of range It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake hydraulic actuator position sender (g302), lower limit not reached or change hydraulic pressure sensor 2 adaptation at limit will delay your vw fault. |
04997 Possible Causes:
04997 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 04997 Code
- Inspect all the connections accelerator position sensor 1/2 (g79) + (g185), implausible signal
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
