Accumulated in electronic control units so data bus powertrain, missing messages it can suddenly lead to a significantly more fuel injection valve 1 (n366), short to ground . So for next ignition coil cylinder 15, open circuit is the final reason of the code. |

04996 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction

- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 04996 Code
- Inspect all the connections hydraulic actuator position sender (g302), lower limit not reached
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
