The problem is about pressure control solenoid 6 (n371) short to b+ the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles ignition coil 'l' primary control, circuit low also event data recorder request, circuit high is the final reason of the code. |
04992 Possible Causes:
04992 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
What To Check After Fixing 04992 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel shutoff valve "b" control, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
