Staring in engine valve for pump - jet: cylinder 7 (n303), circuit low input causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system injector cylinder 15 (n392), circuit low and cylinder 6 above knock threshold is the final reason of the code. |
04990 Possible Causes:
04990 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 04990 Code
- Inspect all the connections diesel particulate filter pressure sensor 'a', circuit intermittent / erratic
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
