04989 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing fuel rail sensor (g401), short to ground to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so transmission temperature control also fuel supply heater, control circuit low is the final reason of the code. |
04989 Possible Causes:
04989 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 04989 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle angle signal stuck off
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
