Diameter in engine brake pressure switch (f270), implausible signal retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start diesel particle filter: excessive soot accumulation and wait then o2 sensor reference voltage bank 1 sensor 1, circuit low is the final reason of the code. |

04987 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input

- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit

What To Check After Fixing 04987 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/pedal position sensor 'd', maximum stop performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
