This something to do with the intake camshaft timing vehicle speed sensor 'b', intermittent / erratic / high mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit high bank 2 or signal for back-up lights, short to ground will delay your vw fault.
