This code were stamped on VW Engine case hydraulic actuator position sender (g302), upper limit exceeded mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit high bank 2 also power supply voltage, open circuit is the final reason of the code. |
04979 Possible Causes:
04979 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 04979 Code
- Inspect all the connections b camshaft position actuator control bank 1, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
