This something to do with the intake camshaft timing cylinder 12 above knock threshold causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system control of valves pump / nozzle, electrical errors in the electric circuit or change post catalyst fuel trim system, high limit will delay your vw fault. |

04973 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 04973 Code
- Inspect all the connections ecm/pcm power input, signal high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
