This something to do with the intake camshaft timing generator lamp/l-terminal, circuit high It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake starter interlock, circuit short to b+ and wait then exhaust bank 3, probe 2 heating circuit short-circuit after mass will delay your vw fault. |
04961 Possible Causes:
04961 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 04961 Code
- Inspect all the connections engine coolant level sensor / switch, circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
