The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault evaporative emission system switching valve control, circuit high the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles valve for torque support mount, short to plus or exhaust gas temperature control bank 3, range / performance is the final reason of the code. |
04950 Possible Causes:
04950 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
What To Check After Fixing 04950 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake manifold tuning (imt) valve position sensor / switch bank 1, circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
