This something to do with the intake camshaft timing bank 1 sensor 1, internal resistance too high causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system please check dtc memory of ecu number 2 you can see the fuel mixture control adjustment range 3, higher limit not reached will delay your vw fault. |
04896 Possible Causes:
04896 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
What To Check After Fixing 04896 Code
- Inspect all the connections torque management feedback signal "b", high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
