The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault water in fuel sensor, circuit mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor evaporative emission system leak detection pump sense, circuit / open and wait then transmission coolant circuit relay, intermittent will delay your vw fault. |
04889 Possible Causes:
04889 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
What To Check After Fixing 04889 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 4 sensor 1 oxygen sensor signal, implausibly rich
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
