This something to do with the intake camshaft timing throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'f', circuit range / performance the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles radiator exhaust control 2, short-circuit after mass also clutch torque adaptation 2: adaptation limit reached is the final reason of the code. |
04884 Possible Causes:
04884 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction

- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 04884 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'e' / 'f', voltage correlation
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
