The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3 / common ground wire, short to b+ causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system control unit programming, programming not finished or change generator shut-off, short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
04881 Possible Causes:
04881 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 04881 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'b' / 'c', voltage correlation
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
