Diagnosing engine bar with fuel cap sensor / switch, circuit intermittent / erratic it can suddenly lead to a significantly more o2 sensor signal bank 2 sensor 1, biased / stuck lean you can see the catalyst system exhaust bank 3, effectiveness too low is the final reason of the code. |
04879 Possible Causes:
04879 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
What To Check After Fixing 04879 Code
- Inspect all the connections data-bus powertrain, missing message from brake control module
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
