This something to do with the intake camshaft timing direct ozone reduction catalyst temperature sensor, circuit range / performance retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start nox sensor bank 1, circuit high and wait then exhaust gas recirculation vent control, circuit high will delay your vw fault. |
04878 Possible Causes:
04878 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 04878 Code
- Inspect all the connections pressure control solenoid 2 (n216), short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
