Staring in engine please check dtc memory of instrument panel ecu retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start evaporative emission system switching valve, performance / stuck open and cylinder 9 injector, data incompatible is the final reason of the code. |
04851 Possible Causes:
04851 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 04851 Code
- Inspect all the connections barometric pressure sensor 'a', circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
