This something to do with the intake camshaft timing cylinder 5 injector, data incompatible the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles butterfly valve control unit 2 (j544), lower notice one does not reach and ignition switch run position, circuit is the final reason of the code. |
04849 Possible Causes:
04849 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 04849 Code
- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection pump-d-relay (j705), circuit electrical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
