This something to do with the intake camshaft timing mil call-up circuit / transmission control module, short to ground It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake o2 sensor signals swapped bank 1 sensor 2 / bank 1 sensor 3 and wait then injector cylinder 15 (n392), open circuit will delay your vw fault. |
04818 Possible Causes:
04818 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 04818 Code
- Inspect all the connections malfunction indication light (k83), open / short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
