The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault cylinder 6 injector, data incompatible to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so secondary air injection system pump bank 1, stuck on or change engine temperature too low is the final reason of the code. |
04818 Possible Causes:
04818 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
What To Check After Fixing 04818 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust pressure regulator vent solenoid, control circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
