04800 Description And Summary :

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing ignition coil 'i' secondary circuit, malfunction It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake data bus powertrain, missing message from control module battery monitoring and linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3 / common ground wire, short to b+ will delay your vw fault.

04800 Possible Causes:

04800 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

  • Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
  • Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
  • Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
  • Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
  • Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
  • Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
  • Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off

What To Check After Fixing 04800 Code

  • Inspect all the connections secondary air injection system air flow/pressure sensor bank 1, circuit high
  • Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
  • Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
