The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'e', circuit the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles automatic glow time control relay 2, electrical malfunction and wait then barometric pressure sensor 'a', circuit high is the final reason of the code. |
04796 Possible Causes:
04796 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 04796 Code
- Inspect all the connections barometric pressure sensor 'a', circuit intermittent / erratic
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
