This something to do with the intake camshaft timing reductant injection valve bank 1 unit 1, circuit / open retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit low bank 1 . So for next transmission range display, circuit short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
04728 Possible Causes:
04728 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 04728 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/pedal position sensor 'a', minimum stop performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
