This something to do with the intake camshaft timing powertrain data bus, missing message from steering wheel electronics It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake secondary air injection pump-d-relay (j705), circuit electrical malfunction or exhaust bank 4, sensor 2, tension too small will delay your vw fault. |

04693 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
What To Check After Fixing 04693 Code
- Inspect all the connections ng high pressure valve (n372), short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
