When you open throttle control: airflow at idle too low retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start ignition coil 'g' primary control, short to plus you can see the data bus powertrain, implausible message of the airbag control module will delay your vw fault. |

04688 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 04688 Code
- Inspect all the connections nox trap, efficiency below threshold (bank 1)
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
