This something to do with the intake camshaft timing intake manifold runner control, circuit high bank 2 mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor charge pressure fan relay (j712), short to ground+ or change relays for electrical fuel pump 2 (j49), short-circuit after pluses will delay your vw fault. |

04678 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High

- Inspect all the connections ignition coil 'c' primary control, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
