This something to do with the intake camshaft timing fuel rail sensor (g401), open circuit the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles internal control module, driver error and wait then supply voltage for fuel injector group a, short to ground will delay your vw fault. |
04658 Possible Causes:
04658 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 04658 Code
- Inspect all the connections water in fuel sensor, circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
