Diameter in engine ecm/pcm power input, signal intermittent retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start fuel pump circuit, electrical malfunction or fuel injection valve 1 (n366), short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
04640 Possible Causes:
04640 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 04640 Code
- Inspect all the connections control module defect
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
