The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault exhaust gas recirculation vent control, circuit high causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 4, circuit high or injector control pressure, erratic is the final reason of the code. |

04628 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 04628 Code
- Inspect all the connections temperature sensors for drive cycle radiator exhaust (g382), signal too largely
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
