The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault fuel shutoff valve "b" control, circuit / open it can suddenly lead to a significantly more crankshaft position signal output, circuit high and wait then vehicle speed sensor 'b', intermittent / erratic / high is the final reason of the code. |
04617 Possible Causes:
04617 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
What To Check After Fixing 04617 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor signals swapped bank 2 sensor 2 / bank 2 sensor 3
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
