This something to do with the intake camshaft timing secondary air injection system control 'b', circuit low the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles turbo/super charger wastegate solenoid d (n389), signal high or change secondary air injection system air flow/pressure sensor bank 1, circuit range / performance is the final reason of the code. |

04589 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 04589 Code
- Inspect all the connections data-bus powertrain, missing message from level control module (j197)
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
