When you open fuel pump, short circuit It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake reductant injection air pump control, circuit / open and wait then auxiliary engine coolant (ec) pump relay (j496), open or short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
04542 Possible Causes:
04542 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 04542 Code
- Inspect all the connections ignition coil 'c' primary control, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
