This something to do with the intake camshaft timing data bus powertrain, missing message for central electric controller retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start pressure control solenoid 2 (n216), short to b+ you can see the exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 bank 1 (g448), low will delay your vw fault. |

What To Check After Fixing 04540 Code
- Inspect all the connections nox sensor bank 1, circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
