The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault generator shut-off, open or short to ground causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system intake manifold runner control, circuit high bank 1 you can see the pressure control valve 1 (n215), open / short to ground will delay your vw fault. |
04518 Possible Causes:
04518 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 04518 Code
- Inspect all the connections hydraulic pressure sensor 1, too high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
