04509 Possible Causes:
04509 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
What To Check After Fixing 04509 Code
- Inspect all the connections relays for electrical fuel pump 2 (j49), short-circuit after pluses
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
