When you open exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 2 sensor 1, circuit range / performance retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'f', circuit high or outside temperature sensor 2 (g249), open to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
04504 Possible Causes:
04504 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low

- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 5, circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
