Accumulated in electronic control units so please check dtc memory of ecu number 2 it can suddenly lead to a significantly more vehicle speed signal, error message from instrument cluster you can see the throttle/fuel inhibit, circuit is the final reason of the code. |
04496 Possible Causes:
04496 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 04496 Code
- Inspect all the connections accelerator position sensor 2 (g185), signal too low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
