This something to do with the intake camshaft timing throttle actuator control system, forced idle the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles engine coolant temperature signal, range / performance or reductant injection valve bank 2 unit 2, circuit high will delay your vw fault. |
04490 Possible Causes:
04490 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 04490 Code
- Inspect all the connections reductant injection air pump control, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
