When you open ignition coil 'a' secondary circuit, malfunction it can suddenly lead to a significantly more shift up/down wire, open / short to ground you can see the exhaust bank 4 oxygen sensor correction behind catalyst, lean control limit exceeded will delay your vw fault. |
04488 Possible Causes:
04488 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
What To Check After Fixing 04488 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor reference voltage bank 2 sensor 1, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
