This something to do with the intake camshaft timing catalyst system exhaust bank 4, effectiveness too low retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start glow plug / heater indicator (k29), circuit open / short to ground or change transmission coolant circuit relay, short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
04487 Possible Causes:
04487 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
What To Check After Fixing 04487 Code
- Inspect all the connections wheel speed signal 1, range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
