The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault air flow restriction / air leak between air filter and maf It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake cylinder 10 above knock threshold or change nox sensor heater sense bank 2, circuit low is the final reason of the code. |
04478 Possible Causes:
04478 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 04478 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/pedal position sensor 'd', minimum stop performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
