04457 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing controller pin coding, implausible signal to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so load signal stuck on also data-bus powertrain, implausible message from brake controller is the final reason of the code. |
04457 Possible Causes:
04457 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 04457 Code
- Inspect all the connections pressure control solenoid 2 (n216), electrical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
