When you open evaporative emission system leak detection pump control, circuit / open causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system throttle position (tp) sensor (g79), error message from ecm . On the other hand databus engine-engine, implausible message will delay your vw fault. |
04457 Possible Causes:
04457 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 04457 Code
- Inspect all the connections pressure control solenoid 6 (n371) open / short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
