04449 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault engine coolant temperature signal, open / short to b+ to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so secondary air injection system switching valve bank 2, stuck closed or change control module defective is the final reason of the code. |
04449 Possible Causes:
04449 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
What To Check After Fixing 04449 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'b' / 'c', voltage correlation
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
