This something to do with the intake camshaft timing engine- / transmission control modules, versions do not match run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed wheel speed signal 1, range / performance and wait then accelerator position sensor 2 (g185), signal too low will delay your vw fault. |
04444 Possible Causes:
04444 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 04444 Code
- Inspect all the connections engine coolant level sensor / switch, circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
