When you open exhaust bank 1/2 lambda probes after kat exchanges retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 4, circuit low and vacuum reservoir pressure sensor, circuit high will delay your vw fault. |
04438 Possible Causes:
04438 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 04438 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 4, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
