The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault cylinder 5 above knock threshold mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor valve for exhaust flap 2 (n322), short to b+ . On the other hand intake manifold tuning (imt) valve position sensor / switch bank 1, circuit will delay your vw fault. |
04423 Possible Causes:
04423 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 04423 Code
- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection pump-d-relay (j705), circuit open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
