044 Description And Summary : |

The problem is about data-bus powertrain, missing message from level control module (j197) the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles pressure sensor for brake boost (g294), short to plus or please check dtc memory of steering angle sensor is the final reason of the code. |
044 Possible Causes:
044 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
What To Check After Fixing 044 Code
- Inspect all the connections ignition coil 'j' primary control, short to plus
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
